Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They offer an added bonus or effect while the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as an incentive, or even created by crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus points, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not accessible to the general public and can only be used on equipment that is ascended, or certain non-ascended weaponry from the Factions Campaign. You can recover infusions or inscriptions, as well as enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Like other upgrade products Phoenix Boxes are able to be traded while connected to the item they are upgrading, and they can be reused after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the best method to increase the quality of your weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the likelihood of receiving an upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or higher can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. When  item upgrading  upgrade a weapon that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item in the same way as it appears in game (for instance, adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have three  upgrade item s at a time.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a valuable accessory to any item as they can provide a variety of unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained through dungeons, and some even be found in specific World Tier 3 areas. However, it's important to note that glyphs are not available on a character who has not been able to create an dungeon with a root with the same depth.

To use a Glyph first, you need to create it using components and connect them with anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph from components, you can build it by combining paths and anchors. Then, drag the element in close proximity to an element highlighted to snap it into place.

Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled like 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a challenge to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.

Glyphs can be applied to various items and weapons, except for those belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs require conditions for example, like having a certain amount of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a particular area on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph gives you an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has the chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Some glyphs may also be used on limited use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs can be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.

The most popular glyphs used in the game are the attack glyphs which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed amount. They are particularly useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results when performing an Action. They are destroyed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens can be obtained through a variety of ways, including through the dungeons, raids, and skirmishes. You can also buy them at the shop or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.

For items in the range of 1 there are recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a specific amount of points to the upgrade gauge. This value is based on the rarity of the item and its level. In addition, the upgraded item won't keep its level after rerolling and the cost of recycling an upgraded item rises depending on the level of the item.

The player can also use reroll tokens in order to roll an item. However it will not bring back the item's original stats or level. This is a great option for players who wish to reroll an item that they aren't happy with but still want to keep it in their collection.

Three different types of upgrade coins are available in the game - the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for instance, come in three levels that are rare, legendary and enhanced. Each level requires an item from its respective level in order to create an item of the same quality.

To use reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, choose a type of token. The tokens available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a new Item in any quality. Using a Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon of the same faction.

There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded to a different item with more level and same stats. This will occur when the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
